We’re not just a research agency,  we’re a gateway to real business growth. For too long, business owners and investors have been stuck in an exhausting cycle: searching for the right partner, navigating uncertainty, and trying to make sense of insights that should be clear from the start. Our Story

Rachel Martin

CEO & Founder

RemCal Insights was founded by Rachel Martin, a strategist and consumer insights expert with over 15 years of experience. 

 

After 7 years working for boutique research firms, Rachel was tired of telling clients that research was going to take 5+ weeks, so she founded RemCal Insights. She’s developed an approach that enables her to deliver the insights in 2-3 weeks. Rachel does it all, but works with category experts and consumer recruiters.

About Rachel

Rachel Martin family

“Understanding people deeply is where every meaningful decision begins.”

That belief has guided Rachel Martin, CEO and Founder of RemCal Insights, through nearly twenty years of helping brands find the human truths that turn curiosity into business momentum. Rachel started with a passion for adolescent psychology at Bates College, jumped into research with both feet, and never looked back. Later, a Health Coach certification let her dive deeper into what truly drives people and how real change happens.

Her career has taken her through some incredible places - research agencies like The Sound, InSites Consulting, The Big Picture, and stints writing for HuffPost and Family Circle [A REAL PHYSICAL MAGAZINE!]. No matter the project, she’s all about uncovering real insights, cutting through the noise, and making sure teams have the confidence to move forward with clarity.

Today, she runs RemCal Insights, leading research for private equity teams, established brands, and fast-growing startups. 

Rachel lives in New York City with her husband, two kids and mini golden doodle. She loves training for the next fitness challenge and doing arts and crafts with her kids.

Karina Harutyunyan

Senior Research & Marketing Associate

Karina is a strategic marketer and researcher specializing in private equity, investment, and finance-focused insights. She helps investment teams and brands understand consumer behavior and identify market opportunities with confidence.

Before joining RemCal Insights, she served as VP of Marketing & Business Development at eqwefy, an innovative crowdfunding and investment platform, partnering with potential investors, startups, and private equity firms. She also worked as a supply chain manager for Chinese clients, an experience that deepened her understanding of global demand dynamics and cross-cultural buying behavior. Her background includes roles in market analysis and strategy at the Business School of Marketing & Innovations, Gradus Solutions, Scorpio Creative, and being a member of the Rotaract Club. 

She holds a BA in Business from the American University of Armenia and an MSc in International Management from Prague City University.

With global experience, an entrepreneurial lens, and a commitment to meaningful insight, she is always excited to connect, collaborate, and help build what’s next.
